Car Parking Permits Renewals
Current parking permits will expire on 31st December 2017. Existing permit holders will be given the opportunity to renew their permits. The window in which this needs to be done opens on 2nd October 2017 and closes 12 noon on 27th October 2017.
The University has a limited amount of car parking available on campus. Whilst the introduction of the multi-storey car park provided some additional spaces, further losses are expected over the next year due to capital projects. There will be a limited number of additional permits that will be issued for staff this year.
All staff will be able to apply via the online system between 2nd October 2017 and 12 noon on 27th October 2017.
Additionally, day parking packages are available to allow staff to book in advance, online, for a ‘day permit’.
All monies generated from use of the car parks and permits are ring-fenced and used to maintain facilities, make further improvements to campus, and into other sustainable transport activities.
The pricing system is based on two factors: (1) your salary; and, (2) your car tax emission band (check your band).
|Permit Band||Car Tax||Salary* & Annual Permit Rates (£)|
|£0-£23,557||£23,557.01-£34,520||£34,520.01-£62,218||£62,218.01 and above|
